An El Nino Fall

What a perfect weekend for biking.  Trail traffic was higher than usual and for good reason.  Temperatures were in the 70s and that autumn looking sky made for ideal riding conditions.  The trails are dry and they are fast.

August temperatures have been 1-2 degrees below average so far.  If this continues it could be the first cooler-than-average month since May 2011.

Temperatures, however, will hop right back to normal Tuesday as a south wind develops.  The weather will be nice for the Salsa Demo at Carver Lake Park Tuesday from 3-8pm.  Rain chances will increase towards the end of the week with a pair of cold fronts passing through between Thursday and Sunday.  Looking ahead, with a developing El Nino, the next three months could be warmer than normal for Minnesota.
